The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team earned an Academic Honor Squad selection from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). The Hornets also had nine student-athletes named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.
Poppy Balkema, Abbie Caza, Jordan Doyle, Kaitlyn Grice, Sophie Hartl, Kennedy Hynde, Julia Kozal, Ella Spooner and Annslee Ware each earned Academic Honor Roll recognition for the Hornets.
Teams that achieve a combined GPA of 3.2 or higher in a given season are eligible for the honor, while individuals must be at least a junior in academic standing and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50.
2025-26 marks Kalamazoo's 10th time being named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Squad list.
This season, the Hornets went 10-9 with a 5-2 record in MIAA play, tied for the most wins overall and in conference play in program history. Kalamazoo also won a game in the MIAA Tournament for the first time in the team's 13-year history.
