The 2025-26 Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse seniors have selected their Most Valuable Professors to recognize this season.
The Hornets selected Richard Koenig, Dr. Pam Cutter, Dr. Darshana Udayanganie, and Dr. Regina Stevens-Truss.
Abbie Caza honored Koenig, from the Studio Art Department, as her MVP. Caza said that Koenig encouraged her to push past her limits and approach her work with more intention and creativity, helping her prepare for the next chapter of her life.
The next MVP was Dr. Cutter of the Computer Science Department, chosen by Jordan Doyle. Doyle selected Dr. Cutter because of her support as Doyle's professor and advisor, adding that the conversations they had about her courses helped her gain confidence in the knowledge she's gained along with critical thinking skills that apply beyond academics.
Sophie Hartl selected Dr. Udayanganie of the Economics Department as her MVP. Hartl recognized Dr. Udayanganie for helping her connect economics to her passion for public health, along with the dedication Dr. Udayanganie shows to her students.
Finally, Dr. Stevens-Truss, from the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department, was chosen by Ella Spooner. Spooner said that Dr. Stevens-Truss has been welcoming and supportive of her since her freshman year, and she appreciates the mentorship from Dr. Stevens-Truss as both a professor and an advisor.
