Jack Bungart was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.
A senior defender / long stick midfielder from Bloomfield Hills, Mich. (Orchard Lake St. Mary's), Bungart had eight ground balls, two caused turnovers and one goal for Kalamazoo men's lacrosse this week in a single game. He captured the MIAA career record for caused turnovers in conference play, now with 63 in his career.
Bungart, a three-time All-MIAA honoree and First Team selection in 2024-25, is the only player in Hornet men's lacrosse history with over 100 caused turnovers in his career, as he now has 146 overall. He also has 218 ground balls, the second-most in program history.
Kalamazoo men's lacrosse finishes the regular season Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Mich. The Hornets will then start the MIAA Tournament on Saturday, with game time and opponent TBD.
