Vince Redko Announces Departure from Kalamazoo College

Vince Redko, Kalamazoo College's head men's lacrosse coach, announced today that he will be leaving Kalamazoo to pursue other opportunities.

"This was an incredibly difficult decision," Redko said. "My family was presented with an opportunity that was too difficult to turn down. Leading the program here at Kalamazoo has been a great joy for the last twelve years. I will be forever grateful for the student-athletes, coaches, colleagues, parents, and fans that contributed to the growth of Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse."

Redko was hired as Kalamazoo College's first head men's lacrosse coach when the program launched in 2014. After recruiting and building the inaugural roster during the 2014-15 academic year, the program began competition in spring 2016. Over 11 seasons, Redko has guided the Hornets to 49 wins.

Under his leadership, the program achieved a single season high of seven wins in 2023 and earned four appearances in the MIAA Tournament, including each of the past two seasons. Through 2025, eight Hornets earned All-MIAA honors during Redko's tenure, along with multiple USILA Team of the Week selections and two USILA Scholar All-Americans.

In addition to his head coaching responsibilities, Redko currently serves as Assistant Athletic Director for Game and Event Management.

"Vince has meant so much to Kalamazoo College as the founding head coach of our men's lacrosse program," said Jamie Zorbo, Director of Athletics. "For more than a decade, he has built this program with vision, integrity and a deep commitment to the student-athlete experience. His impact extends well beyond the playing field – he has helped shape the culture of our department and the lives of the young men he has coached. We are incredibly grateful for all he has given to K and fully support him and his family as they begin this next chapter."

Redko will continue in his current roles through May 31. A national search for Kalamazoo College's next head men's lacrosse coach will begin immediately.
