The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team swept the MIAA weekly awards, announced by the conference on Monday, April 20. Tessa Fuller earned Offensive Player of the Week, Annslee Ware won Defensive Player of the Week, and Kennedy Hynde was named Specialist of the Week.
A junior attacker from Spring Lake, Mich. (Spring Lake), Fuller scored 10 goals with five assists and four ground balls in two games. She scored five goals in both games on the week, a pair of wins at Trine and at home against Saint Mary's.
Ware, a junior defender from Hendersonville, Tenn. (Pope John Paul II Prep), collected seven ground balls, four caused turnovers and two draw controls on the week. She had a strong performance against Saint Mary's on Saturday, with a career-high six ground balls and three caused turnovers.
A junior midfielder from North Muskegon, Mich. (Reeths-Puffer), Hynde secured 17 draw controls, nine ground balls and scored two goals on the week. She posted a career-high 14 draw controls on Wednesday at Trine, then added a career-high eight ground balls against Saint Mary's Saturday, scoring a pair of goals as well.
For Ware, the award is her first MIAA weekly honor. It was also the first of the season for Fuller, and fifth of her career, while Hynde earned Specialist of the Week for the fourth time this year for her fifth total MIAA weekly award, having also earned a Defensive Player of the Week honor.
