KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team celebrated Senior Day with a 17-5 win over Saint Mary's College Saturday at MacKenzie Field.
Kalamazoo led 4-1 after the first quarter and 10-1 at halftime. Each team scored twice in the third before Kalamazoo outscored Saint Mary's 5-2 in the fourth for the 17-5 final.
Kalamazoo outshot Saint Mary's 36-12 overall, 28-7 on goal. Each team won 12 draw controls in the game.
Sophie Hartl led Kalamazoo with six goals and an assist, while also winning five draw controls.
Tessa Fuller scored five goals with three assists.
Jordan Doyle had a goal and two assists.
Abbie Caza scored two goals with two assists.
Kennedy Hynde scored two goals with three draw controls and eight ground balls.
Annslee Ware caused three turnovers with six ground balls.
Ella Spooner scored a goal and caused four turnovers.
Kaitlyn Grice was credited with four saves in goal.
Kalamazoo wraps up the regular season at Albion on Tuesday, April 21, at 6 p.m.
