Robert Newland was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.

A senior outfielder from Bloomfield Hills, Mich. (Bloomfield Hills), Newland hit .571 (12/21) with two home runs, two doubles, seven stolen bases, seven runs scored and eight RBIs for the week.

Newland, who also earned MIAA Position Player of the Week for his performance, currently leads all of NCAA-III in stolen bases on the season with 27. He also leads the Hornets in hits (39) and batting average (.464).
