Kalamazoo College defenseman Jack Bungart was named MIAA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week Monday.

A senior from Bloomfield Hills, Mich. (Orchard Lake St. Mary's), Bungart had 14 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers and two assists in two games last week for the Hornets.

Bungart helped Kalamazoo to a 9-5 win at Wilmington (OH) with eight ground balls, four caused turnovers and one assist. He continued to make major contributions on the defensive end in a 10-9 home victory over Illinois Tech with six ground balls, six caused turnovers and one assist.

The award is the second MIAA Defensive Player of the Week honor in Bungart's career, almost one year to the day after his first (3/3/25).

Kalamazoo men's lacrosse hosts Southwestern (TX) Friday at 6 p.m. at MacKenzie Field.
