ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team won the MIAA opener 11-3 at Alma College on Wednesday.
Kalamazoo scored the game's first four goals and led 6-1 at halftime. The Hornets outscored Alma 5-2 in the second half.
Kalamazoo outshot Alma 43-17 overall, 22-8 on goal.
Max Plesscher led Kalamazoo offensively with four goals and an assist.
Dylan Adkins scored three goals.
Tate Bless added two.
Teige Bredin and
Ronin Honda each scored one.
Jack Bungart led the defense with five caused turnovers and six ground balls.
Brody Quinn and
Ryan Everham combined to win 16-of-17 face offs.
Tony Valade and
Charles Graves combined for five saves in goal for the Hornets.
Kalamazoo (4-2, 1-0 MIAA) returns to action on Friday, March 20, at Transylvania University in Kentucky.
