Ruby Hogan was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.
A junior guard from Cedar, Mich. (Glen Lake), Hogan scored 38 points with 10 rebounds, eight assists and four steals in two games for Kalamazoo College women's basketball last week.
After scoring 14 points with four rebounds and four assists against Trine on Wednesday, Hogan notched season-highs in points (24), free throws made (14) and free throw attempts (19) in the Hornets' win at Olivet Saturday, adding six rebouds, four assists and three steals.
Hogan currently leads Kalamazoo in scoring at 12.6 points per game with 7.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Each of those marks are among the top eight players in the MIAA, with her 4.6 assists per game leading the conference.
Kalamazoo women's basketball hosts Saint Mary's Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Anderson Athletic Center.
