Lucas Hanifan was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Monday.
A senior guard from Chelsea, Mich. (Chelsea), Hanifan scored 33 points with 10 rebounds in two games this past week for Kalamazoo men's basketball.
After scoring 13 points with five rebounds and two steals at Oberlin on Monday (Dec. 29), Hanifan went off for a career-high 20 points, tied a career-high with four three-point shots made, and added five rebounds on Tuesday (Dec. 30) at Case Western Reserve.
Hanifan, an NABC Honors Court member last season, is second on the Hornets with 11.1 points per game, and averages 3.4 rebounds per game, shooting 41.3% from the field and 34.1% from three-point range on the season.
Kalamazoo men's basketball opens MIAA play at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Adrian.
