Carter Bandemer was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Wednesday.
A senior guard from Howell, Mich. (Howell), Bandemer scored 37 points with 12 rebounds, four assists, and went 9-for-18 from the three-point line in two games for Kalamazoo men's basketball this past week.
He started the week with a great shooting effort, going 5-for-8 from beyond the arc in an 85-84 win at Wabash College on Wednesday (Dec. 10). Bandemer followed that performance with his first career double-double, on 21 points and 10 rebounds, along with two assists, two blocks and a steal in a loss at Illinois Tech on Saturday (Dec. 13).
Bandemer currently leads the Hornets in points (118, 13.1 per game), rebounds (38, 4.2 per game), field goals (40), three-point field goals (20), and three-point percentage (.417, min. 10 attempts).
Kalamazoo men's basketball returns to action on Monday, Dec. 29 at Oberlin College at 4 p.m.
