OBERLIN, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team lost at Oberlin College Monday, 79-56.
Kalamazoo grabbed the lead early and held a 19-16 advantage with seven minutes left in the first half before Oberlin heated up for a 23-0 run to take a 39-22 lead into halftime. The Yeomen shot 46.9% from the field in the first half to 28.1% by the Hornets.
Oberlin continued its strong shooting performance in the second half, finishing the game at 46.4% from the field and 37.8% at the three-point line. Kalamazoo shot 29.1% from the field and 31.0% from deep.
Lucas Hanifan led the Hornets, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Jackson Keefer added 11 points on 3-of-5 three-point shooting.
Connor Kouki contributed eight points and three rebounds, while Gavin Van Kampen had six points, five rebounds along with a block and a steal on defense.
Kalamazoo men's basketball (3-7) finishes the 2025 portion of the schedule Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Case Western Reserve University (6-3).
