Lauren Vanderstelt was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.

A senior from Plainwell, Mich. (Plainwell), Vanderstelt recorded back-to-back double-doubles for Kalamazoo women's basketball last week, totaling 29 points, 22 rebounds, three assists and four blocked shots.

Vanderstelt's big week was highlighted by a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double with three assists and two blocks in the Hornets' 77-63 win over Kenyon on Saturday (Nov. 22). She's now averaging 10.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game on the season.

Kalamazoo women's basketball returns from the Thanksgiving break playing at Albion to open MIAA action on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
