KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team defeated Kenyon College 77-63 inside Anderson Athletic Center Saturday afternoon.
Kalamazoo outscored Kenyon 16-11 in the first quarter before taking a 34-30 lead into halftime. The Hornets outscored Kenyon 24-14 in the third before a 19-19 fourth quarter led to the 77-63 final.
Kalamazoo shot a season-high 42.4 percent from the field while holding Kenyon to 33.3 percent. Kalamazoo also outrebounded Kenyon 50-32, including 21-12 on the offensive end.
Ruby Hogan scored 19 points with 10 assists and eight rebounds.
Lauren Vanderstelt also ad a double-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds and three assists.
Alyse Baughman added 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
Semaj' Robertson scored nine points with two assists and two steals.
Brittany Miller scored nine points with five rebounds in 12 minutes off the bench.
Kalamazoo returns to action Dec. 3 in the MIAA opener at Albion.
