Dougie Blackwood was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.
A senior from Tampa, Fla. (Durant), Blackwood recorded 19 points off the bench, going 7-for-13 from the field (53.8%) and 2-for-3 from the three-point line (66.7%) with one steal and one block in a 73-68 overtime victory for Kalamazoo men's basketball over Earlham on Saturday (Nov. 22).
Blackwood, a two-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, is currently averaging 11 points per game this season and shooting 50% (3-for-6) from three-point range.
Kalamazoo men's basketball returns from the Thanksgiving break playing at the University of Chicago on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. (2 p.m. CT).
