CHICAGO - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team lost on the road at #7 University of Chicago Saturday, 103-64.
Chicago rode a stellar first-half shooting performance at 60.6% from the field to a 49-31 advantage at halftime. The Maroons' continued their strong offense in the second to take the victory.
Kalamazoo shot 35.9% from the field and 32.1% from the three-point line in the game, while Chicago finished at 55.4% from the field and 38.2% from deep.
Patrick Perez led the Hornets in scoring with 14 points, on 6-of-10 shooting including a pair of three-pointers, with three rebounds. Carter Bandemer added nine points, two assists and two boards.
Nelson Sompa scored seven points with a team-high four assists and two rebounds.
The Hornets (2-5) hit the road again to take on Wabash College (4-2) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
