KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team fell 10-6 to Adrian at home on Wednesday night. 

The Hornets started out strong with three straight goals in the first seven minutes of play, including two back-to-back from Rose Bogard and one by Lilly Baumann. The Bulldogs answered back with three goals of their own, but Kalamazoo was able to take a 4-3 lead into halftime with another goal at 1:50 from Bogard. 

Kalamazoo got on the board twice more with a goal from Hannah Heeren on a free position attempt and one from Mackenzie Maiorano, but were ultimately outscored 7-2 by Adrian in the second half. The Bulldogs scored three straight goals on two separate occasions and a final shot at 3:49 to earn the win. 

The Hornets held the advantage with 26 shots attempted, 18 made on goal. They picked up 17 ground balls and won 14 draw controls to Adrian's 4. 

Rose Bogard scored three goals for the Hornets on six shots and picked up five ground balls. 

Hannah Heeren, Mackenzie Maiorano and Lilly Baumann contributed Kalamazoo's other three goals. 

Hannah Wolfe won a career-high six draw controls and collected four ground balls. She also recorded two assists. 

Kalamazoo is scheduled to play again at home on Saturday, March 27 against Calvin.
