Women's Lacrosse Defeated at Chicago

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team fell to Chicago 17-6 on Sunday. 

Chicago got out to an 11-4 lead after the first half and kept its lead throughout this afternoon's contest. The Maroons outscored the Hornets 6-2 in the second half. 

Rachel Madar led Kalamazoo with three goals on six shots. The sophomore also had five draw controls. 

Rose Bogard added two goals for the Hornets to go with three ground balls. 

Reigning MIAA Player of the Week, Lilly Baumann, collected five ground balls and three draw controls. 

Chicago had the edge 14-11 in draw controls and 32-23 in ground balls. The Hornets were successful on 11 of 23 clear attempts compared to 21 of 22 for the Maroons. 

Kalamazoo will return to play on Wednesday, March 13 when it hosts Indiana Tech at 5:30 p.m.​
