Box Score 2 The Kalamazoo College softball team lost a pair of games on Sunday in Clermont, Fla.
Kalamazoo lost the morning opener, 12-0, to Concordia (Wis.).
The Falcons scored multiple runs in each of the first four innings while holding limiting Kalamazoo to two hits in the contest. Concordia had eight hits while also taking advantage of six walks and four Hornet errors.
Dana Page and Rayanne Burl each had a hit for the Hornets.
In the second game of the morning, Kalamazoo lost 11-5 to Indiana Tech.
The score was tied 2-2 after the second inning, but Indiana Tech scored four in the third to take a 6-2 lead. Kalamazoo responded with two runs in the bottom half and was trailing just 7-5 after six innings. Indiana Tech added four insurance runs in the top of the seventh, however, before closing out the bottom half with the win.
Indiana Tech ended up with 17 hits in the game compared to eight for Kalamazoo. The Hornets left 10 runners on base.
Dana Page was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Paige Maguire was also 2-for-4. Grace Mathieu doubled and scored a run while Rayanne Burl and Katie Mattison both scored twice.
Kalamazoo is scheduled to face Colby and D'Youville on Monday in Florida.
