The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team defeated Manchester College 1-0 at Trine University on Friday.

After a scoreless first half, Roger Mason Darling scored the game's only goal in the 56th minute. Dagan Hammar was credited with the assist.

Kalamazoo outshot Manchester 14-8 overall, including 6-3 on goal.

Dane Macdonell earned the shutout in goal with three saves.

The Hornets return to action with a 2 p.m. match on Saturday at Trine against Capital University.
