The Kalamazoo College baseball team increased its ranking once again to a program-record #6 spot from the D3baseball.com Poll this week, while the ABCA Top 25 had the Hornets at #10.
Kalamazoo is currently 28-4 on the season, having won each of its first five MIAA series and sitting at 12-2 in conference play.
The Hornets are one of the top teams in the country in a variety of categories, currently ranking in the top 10 in all of NCAA-III in batting average (#6, .353), hit by pitch (#5, 96), scoring (#7, 11.4 runs per game), stolen bases per game (#4, 3.69), strikeout-to-walk ratio (#6, 2.96), strikeouts per nine innings (#7, 9.6), and winning percentage (#5, .875).
Kalamazoo baseball is scheduled to complete its season series against Calvin University Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Grand Rapids, Mich.
