Ella Spooner was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.

A senior attacker from Holland, Mich. (West Ottawa), Spooner scored 10 goals with five assists, nine ground balls, six draw controls and four caused turnovers in two victories on the week for Kalamazoo women's lacrosse.

Against Pacific Lutheran on Wednesday, Spooner scored 10 points (7 goals, 3 assists), picked up five ground balls, and caused three turnovers. She added three goals and two assists with four ground balls in Friday's win at Puget Sound, with her final goal of the week going in the books as #200 for her career.

Kalamazoo women's lacrosse begins MIAA play Wednesday at 5 p.m. against Adrian College at MacKenzie Field.
