Patrick Perez was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Monday.

A junior guard from San Diego, Calif. (Christian), Perez scored 33 points with 10 rebounds in two games this past week for Kalamazoo men's basketball.

To start the week, Perez scored 16 points with two rebounds, one block and one steal at Adrian College Wednesday. He set new season-highs in both points (17) and rebounds (8) Saturday against Albion, knocking down two three-point shots for the second time this season.

Perez, an MIAA Academic Honor Roll member last season, is averaging 9.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game this season for the Hornets.

Kalamazoo men's basketball is back in action at Anderson Athletic Center Wednesday at 7 p.m. against Calvin.
