Ruby Hogan was selected as the MIAA Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week on Monday, Feb. 24
th.
Hogan, a sophomore from Cedar, Mich. (Glen Lake) earned her second MIAA Athlete of the Week honors this season after leading Kalamazoo to a 1-1 weekend to end their season. Hogan averaged 25.5 points, six rebounds, and 4.5 assists over the past two games.
In a 75-62 win over Alma on Wednesday night, Hogan a career-high 34 points, shooting 52% from the field and 75% on the free-throw line. She was just two points shy of the program's single-game scoring record set in 1992.
Additionally, she hauled in eight rebounds and dished out a team-high five assists.
On Saturday, Hogan put up 17 points, four rebounds, and dished out four assists against No. 11 Trine.
This season, Hogan recorded 401 points, 194 rebounds, 111 assists, and 49 steals.
