Ruby Hogan was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 25
th, for events through Sunday, Feb. 23
rd.
Hogan, a sophomore from Cedar, Mich. (Glen Lake) earns her fourth SAAC honors of the season after leading the Hornets to a 1-1 split over the weekend to conclude their season. Hogan averaged 25.5 points, six rebounds, and 4.5 assists over the last two final games.
Hogan delivered a standout performance in Wednesday night's 75-62 victory over Alma, scoring a career-best 34 points while shooting 52% from the field and 75% from the line. Hogan was just two points shy of breaking the program's single-game scoring record, which has stood since 1992.
On Saturday, Hogan put up 17 points, four rebounds, and dished out four assists against No.11 Trine.
Additionally, Hogan was named the MIAA Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week on Monday, Feb. 24th for the second time this year.Â
Hogan concludes the season with 401 points, 194 rebounds, 111 assists, and 49 steals.
