Box Score 2 NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College softball team lost its MIAA opener 6-0 at Saint Mary's on Saturday.
The host Belles scored three in the first, two in the third and one in the fifth while limiting the Hornets to two hits in the contest. Isabella Kirck and Hayleigh Alamo each singled for Kalamazoo.
Kalamazoo lost the second game, 5-0.
Saint Mary's scored two runs in the third and three in the seventh.
Kalamazoo had all three of its hits in the final frame but was unable to push any runs across.
Erin DuRoss, Briana Huisken and Alyssa Heitkamp each singled in the inning.
Kalamazoo returns to action on Tuesday, April 4 at Alma
