KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College softball team lost a pair of games to No. 2 Trine University in the regular season finale and Senior Day at the Kalamazoo College Softball Field.
Game One – Trine 10, Kalamazoo 0 (5 inn.)
Trine scored a run in the first and led 1-0 after two innings. The Thunder added multiple runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings while holding Kalamazoo scoreless for the 10-0 win.
Trine had 10 hits in the game including two home runs. Kalamazoo was limited to two hits.
Grace Rocco and
Ella Neumann each had a hit for the Hornets.
Game Two – Trine 13, Kalamazoo 1 (5 inn.)
Trine scored multiple runs in the first three innings en route to 13-1 win in the regular season finale.
Kalamazoo scored one run on seven hits. Trine finished with 11 hits.
Delaney Lee went 2-for-2 for the Hornets.
Emma Newlove had a double.
Macy Ward singled and drove in a run.
Landrie Fridsma singled, stole a base and scored Kalamazoo's only run.
Grace Rocco and
Ella Neumann also singled for the Hornets.
Kalamazoo finished the season tied for sixth place in the MIAA.
