Box Score 2 NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College softball team lost a pair of conference games at Saint Mary's on Thursday, 10-3 and 5-4.
Saint Mary's led 4-3 after three innings in the opener before adding a run in the fourth and four in the fifth. The Belles added another run in the sixth leading to the 10-3 final.
Saint Mary's had 14 hits in the game while Kalamazoo had seven.
Abby Anderson was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Rayanne Burl was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Katie Mattison also had a double while Dana Page and Emma Patrash each had a single.
Saint Mary's led 5-1 after five innings in the second game before a three-run double by Grace Mathieu made it a 5-4 game in the bottom of the sixth. Kalamazoo was unable to get Mathieu home in the sixth, however, and managed only a single in the bottom of the seventh.
Saint Mary's had eight hits in the game compared to six for Kalamazoo.
Grace Mathieu was 2-for-3 with the double and three RBIs. Dana Page was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles. Abby Anderson hit a solo home run in the fourth while Rachel Epstein singled in the third.
Kalamazoo travels to Olivet for a conference doubleheader on Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m.
