Softball defeated by Calvin, 8-0 and 3-1

KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College softball team lost a pair of games to Calvin on Senior Day at Ebert Field on Monday, 8-0 and 3-1.

Calvin led 2-0 after four innings before scoring three runs in the fifth and three in the sixth for the 8-0 win.

Calvin had 14 hits in the game while limiting Kalamazoo to five.

Rayanne Burl was 2-for-3 for the Hornets.

Calvin scored two runs in the third inning and another run in the fifth in the second game. Kalamazoo scored a run in the sixth, but could not get any closer in the 3-1 loss.

Each team had seven hits in the game.

Emma Patrash and Abby Anderson were both 2-for-3. Paige Maguire had a double while Madeline Sinkovich and Dana Page each singled for the Hornets.

Kalamazoo returns to action with a doubleheader at Alma on Wednesday, April 24 at 3:30 p.m.
