Emiliano Alvarado Rescala was honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as a 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar on Monday, Aug. 3. It marks the second consecutive year he has received the honor.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar recognition, student-athletes must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors academically and athletically in NCAA Divisions I, II, or III, or the NAIA, or be completing an associate degree while in their final year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. Nominees must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, maintain a stroke average below 79.0 in NCAA Division III, and carry a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2. Recipients must also be of high moral character and in good standing at their college or university.

A junior from Lerma, Mexico, Alvarado Rescala averaged 78.0 over 15 rounds during the 2025-26 season. He earned medalist honors at the Hornet Fall Invite at Stonehedge with a round of 74. For his career, Alvarado Rescala ranks seventh in program history with a 77.4 scoring average. He has also earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors in each of the past two seasons.

Kalamazoo College golfers have now earned GCAA All-America Scholar honors 12 times since 2016-17, with Alvarado Rescala becoming the program's fifth two-time recipient.

The GCAA recognized 261 NCAA Division III student-athletes from 95 institutions as 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars.
