TECUMSEH, Mich. The Kalamazoo College men's golf team tied for third out of 11 teams at the Irish Hills Intercollegiate hosted by Adrian College at Tecumseh Golf Club Friday and Saturday.

Kalamazoo shot 302 on Friday and 305 on Saturday for a total of 607. The Hornets tied with Spring Arbor for third place. Both teams trailed Calvin by four strokes and Adrian by seven strokes.

Jack Hackwell tied for fifth overall with a combined score of 149 (74-75).

Will Orme (74-76) and Gurnav Jeet Singh Bhatia (76-74) both tied for eighth at 150. Shivam Kikani was the fourth scorer at 158 (78-80).

Kalamazoo opens conference play at an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Trine on Sept. 29 at 1 p.m.
