Kalamazoo College men's golf had two student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, announced on Tuesday, June 16. Emiliano Alvarado Rescala and Ethan Daugherty both earned the honor.
To earn the distinction of CSC Academic All-District honors, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and be in the lineup for 75% of the team's events or be in the lineup for the conference championship tournament.
A junior from Lerma, Mexico, Alvarado Rescala played in all 11 tournaments for the Hornets this season. He posted a scoring average of 78.0, notching a season-low of 72 at the MIAA Jamboree #3 and capturing medalist honors with a 74 at the Hornet Fall Invite. This is his second consecutive Academic All-District honor.
Daugherty, a sophomore from South Lyon, Mich. (South Lyon), played in nine tournaments for Kalamazoo in 2025-26. His average round score was 81.8, with a low of 78, which he achieved three times. This is his first time being named to the Academic All-District team.
This season, the Hornets won two events: the Lou Collins Memorial and Hornet Fall Invite. The team shot season-low rounds of 306 twice, both in MIAA play, at the MIAA Jamboree #3 and day two of the MIAA Spring Finale.
