Lauren Vanderstelt earned recognition as the NCAA Division III blocked shots champion, as statistics from the 2025-26 season are now considered final. Vanderstelt led the country in both total blocks (109) and blocked shots per game (4.19).
A senior from Plainwell, Mich. (Plainwell), Vanderstelt rewrote the Kalamazoo College women's basketball record book in just two years with the Hornets. She set single-season records in rebounds (277) and blocks (109) this season, securing the program's career blocks record (179) as well.
In her time at Kalamazoo, Vanderstelt also earned CSC Academic All-District honors in both seasons (2025, 2026).
This season, the Hornets' six MIAA victories tied the most for the program in the last decade. The Hornets also finished in the top six in the conference for the first time since 2017-18.
