Ruby Hogan was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Monday.
A junior guard from Cedar, Mich. (Glen Lake), Hogan scored 20 points with 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals in Kalamazoo women's basketball's 66-65 overtime victory over Adrian last Wednesday (Jan. 7).
The performance marked Hogan's third double-double of the season, and she shot 10-of-20 from the field in the win.
Hogan, a two-time MIAA player of the week and BCAM Women's College Academic-Athletic Honor Team member last season, leads the Hornets in scoring (12.0 points per game), assists (50) and steals (27) this season and is averaging 7.5 rebounds per game.
Kalamazoo women's basketball is back in action at Calvin on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
