Jacey Merkle was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.

A sophomore from Saugatuck, Mich. (Saugatuck), Merkle placed first overall in the first MIAA Jamboree of the 2025-26 season by shooting a 74 (2 over par) last week. The Hornets also won as a team with a score of 315, placing Kalamazoo College women's golf in first place currently in the MIAA.

Merkle is now averaging a 77.5 score on the season.

The Kalamazoo College women's golf team next plays at the second MIAA Jamboree on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m. in Marshall, Mich., hosted by Olivet.
