Ellie Britt of the Kalamazoo College women's golf team was named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team as announced on Monday, June 30^th.

To qualify for this prestigious honor, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, retain amateur status, remain on the team's roster through the end of the season, and participate in at least 50% of their team's scheduled competitive rounds.

This year's WGCA All-American Scholar Team recognized 1,499 collegiate women's golfers from 403 programs nationwide.

Britt, a freshman from Lake Orion, Mich. (Lake Orion), led the Hornets to one of their most successful seasons since 2011, as they won three straight tournaments during the spring season.

Britt competed in 12 matches this season, averaging an 82.3. Britt claimed individual medalist honors at the Westminster Invitational, finishing with a 157 (79-78), helping Kalamazoo secure first place with a team total of 645 (328-317). The team's second-round score of 317 marked the second-lowest in program history.

She continued her strong performance with a runner-up finish at the MIAA Spring Finale, again shooting a 157 (79-78), earning the Hornets' only All-MIAA Second Team recognition. Britt capped off the spring season with a third-place individual finish at Albion, with an 80 as the Hornets took second overall with a 339.
