Kalamazoo College's
Jack Bungart received First-Team All-MIAA honors, as announced by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association on Tuesday, April 29
th.
Bungart, a junior defender from Bloomfield Hills, Mich. (Orchard Lake St. Mary's), started all 14 games for Kalamazoo and led the Hornets' defense this season in ground balls and caused turnovers.
He posted career-best numbers with 59 ground balls and 39 caused turnovers, bringing his collegiate totals to 151 ground balls and 101 caused turnovers.
Bungart ranks second in the MIAA in caused turnovers per game, averaging 2.79, and eighth in ground balls per game, averaging 4.21.
Bungart ends his junior year with 151 ground balls, 101 caused turnovers, seven points, four assists, and three goals.
In addition to his All-MIAA recognition, Bungart was named MIAA Defensive Player of the Week on March 3 and was selected to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team of the Week on March 5.
The Hornets wrapped up their 2025 season with a 6-8 overall record and a 1-5 mark in MIAA Conference play.
