Ruby Hogan was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Wednesday.
A junior guard from Cedar, Mich. (Glen Lake), Hogan scored 21 points with 23 rebounds, nine assists and three steals in two games last week.
Her week included a big performance on Wednesday (Dec. 10) in which she scored 14 points and tied for the fourth-most rebounds in a game in Kalamazoo women's basketball history with 19 to go along with six assists and three steals.
Hogan, a two-time MIAA women's basketball Player of the Week and BCAM Women's College Academic-Athletic Honor Team recipient last season, leads the Hornets in assists (41) and steals (19) on the season, while ranking second on the team in points (9.8) and rebounds (7.5) per game.
Kalamazoo women's basketball continues play at the Oglethorpe Classic on Thursday against the host Oglethorpe at 2 p.m.
