Three Kalamazoo College volleyball student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, announced on Tuesday, Dec. 16. Makala Goddard, Rachel Meston and Brittany Miller received the honor this season.

To earn the distinction of CSC Academic All-District honors, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and appear in at least 90% of the team's games or start 66% of the team's games.

Goddard, a sophomore setter from Martin, Mich. (Martin), played and started in all 27 matches this year for the Hornets. She led the team and placed fifth in the MIAA in assists per set (5.32), finishing with 516 total assists along with 149 digs and 29 service aces.

A senior libero from Grand Rapids, Mich. (East Grand Rapids), Meston played in all 27 matches as the Hornet libero. She led Kalamazoo and ranked second in the MIAA in digs per set (4.72), finishing with 458 total digs, 48 assists and 33 service aces. This is her second CSC Academic All-District award, having also earned the honor in 2023.

Miller, a senior outside hitter from Lombard, Ill. (Glenbard South), played and started all 27 matches this season for Kalamazoo. She led the team in kills (234), service aces (50) and points (303.5), finishing third in the MIAA in aces per set (0.52) along with 278 digs and 35 blocks. It's her third consecutive CSC Academic All-District selection.

The Hornets finished the season 10-17 and 1-7 in MIAA play.
