Kalamazoo College's Corey Garrison II was named MIAA Football Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, Nov. 17.
A senior linebacker from Farmington Hills, Mich. (West Bloomfield), Garrison II made a season-high 11 tackles, four solo and seven assisted, with 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack in the Hornets' 25-24 loss at Trine Saturday (Nov. 15).
This is the second MIAA Defensive Player of the Week honor for Garrison II, having also received the honor on Sept. 9, 2024. He finished the season with 55 tackles, setting new career-highs in tackles for loss (6) and sacks (2.5).
Kalamazoo football earned three MIAA Player of the Week awards this year, as Garrison II joined Dawson Skupin (Offensive, Sept. 8) and Lucas Hannifan (Special Teams, Sept. 29) as honorees for the 2025 season.
