CHARLOTTE, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's cross country team finished fourth at the MIAA Championships Saturday in Charlotte, Mich.
Nora O'Leary was the Hornets' top finisher, finishing No. 8 with a 6K time of 22:26.1, earning First Team All-MIAA honors.
Maya Alkema was next across the finish line at 22:41.5, good for No. 16 and a Second-Team All-MIAA result.
Allison Mayer and Ava King finished consecutively at 23:09.9 and 23:13.3, respectively, coming home No. 25 and No. 26.
Grace Murphy rounded out the top five for Kalamazoo, finishing No. 34 at 23:48.2. Maddie Hanulick was just behind her at 23:48.3.
Trine University won the championship with five of the top seven finishers. Hope finished second, followed by Calvin, Kalamazoo, Saint Mary's, Alma, Adrian, Albion and Olivet.
It was a strong performance for the Hornets, with five student-athletes recording new personal best times in the 6K.
Kalamazoo women's cross country next heads to the NCAA III Great Lakes Regional in Louisville, Ky. on Nov. 15 at 10:30 a.m.
