EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's cross country team finished 20th at the MSU - Auto Owners Spartan Invitational Friday morning.
The meet consisted of 24 teams ranging from NCAA Division I to junior colleges, including six MIAA teams. Michigan State won the 6K women's event.
Nora O'Leary finished in 24:08.7 to lead the Hornets at 150th overall.
Grace Murphy (24:53.8) and Cate Cotter (25:36.7) were the next two Kalamazoo runners across the line.
"We ran strong on both the men's and women's sides today," head coach Kyle Morrison said. "We were dealing with a little fatigue from training camp and the start of the school year, but should be right on schedule for great performances in October and November."
Kalamazoo is scheduled to compete next at the Knight Invite hosted by Calvin University on Saturday, Sept. 19 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
