Box Score ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team lost 18-7 at Alma in its final regular-season match on Friday night.
The Hornets trailed 2-0 to start the game before a man-up goal by Jack Jesko, followed five minutes later by back-to-back goals from Brandon Wright.
Kalamazoo was held to just one goal in the second quarter while Alma took an 8-4 lead into halftime. The Hornets scored twice more in the third and again were held to a single goal in the final frame to fall 18-7.
Alma outshot Kalamazoo 55-38 and held a 42-28 advantage in ground balls.
Brandon Wright and Jack Loveland each scored twice for the Hornets. Benji Krebs and JJ Ohren-Hoeft led Kalamazoo with four ground balls collected each.
Dylan McGorisk tallied two assists. Goalkeeper Dylan Wickey started for the Hornets and recorded 15 saves.
Kalamazoo awaits pairings for the MIAA Tournament scheduled to begin May 1.
