Baseball wins record 25th game at Alma

ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team won a school record 25th game of the season with an 8-4 win at Alma in the second game of a doubleheader Saturday. The Hornets took 3-of-4 from Alma after winning both games in Kalamazoo on Friday.

Alma won Saturday's opener 4-3 after scoring a pair of runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Ryan Orr doubled in the top of the seventh but was stranded with the final out. 

Zach Prystash went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the game.

Kalamazoo trailed 4-2 after two innings in the second game before tying the game with a pair of runs in the fifth. The Hornets scored two runs in each of the seventh and eighth innings while the Hornet relievers held Alma scoreless over the final seven innings.

Jack Clark had three hits with a triple and three RBIs. Ian Kobernick also had three hits with a double.

Ryan Orr and Andre Gard each had two hits while Gard had a double.

Kalamazoo (25-11, 17-7 MIAA) sits in second place in the MIAA with four games remaining. The Hornets travel to Calvin for a doubleheader on Friday before hosting a doubleheader on Saturday.
