Box Score 2 OLIVET - The Kalamazoo College baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader at Olivet on Saturday, losing 5-4 in the opener and 11-7 in the second game.
Olivet led 4-0 after three innings in the opener before Kalamazoo came back to tie it in the top of the sixth. The Comets scored a run in the bottom of the sixth to make it 5-4 and held on in the seventh for the win.
Olivet had eight hits in the game while limiting Kalamazoo to four.
Ben Blomme had a double for Kalamazoo while Marc Zughaib, Scott Devine, and Joey Aliotta each singled.
The second game was tied 3-3 after two and a half innings before Olivet scored four runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead for good.
Each team had 12 hits in the game.
K.J. Schultz was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Marc Zughaib, Eric Glanz, and Anthony Shaheen each had two hits. Mickey Amboyan had a double while Brett Thomas had a triple.
Kalamazoo returns to action on Sunday with the final conference doubleheader of the season at Trine beginning at 1 p.m.
