Kalamazoo College

He was an All-American in both singles and doubles twice (1981 and 1982) and held a world ranking in the ATP. He had NCAA rankings at #16 in singles and #5 in doubles in 1981 and #12 in singles and #7 in doubles in 1982. Riley was undefeated in MIAA play throughout his career, a two-time All-MIAA First Team member (1981, 1982), a team captain (1981, 1982), and earned the MIAA MVP (!982). He and his doubles partner also captured a win over the #1 ranked NCAA DI duo from Georgia in 1982.
