Kalamazoo College

Physical Education Professor and men's tennis coach for 35 years. He coached his teams to 7 NCAA Division III Championships and 35 MIAA Championships. He coached 38 All-Americans, 19 MIAA MVPs, and 13 MIAA Stowe Sportsmanship Award winners. His tennis team posted a 209-1 MIAA career dual-meet record and an overall 537-231 record. He was named the Division III Coach of the Year in 1982 and 1991, and the NCAA Division III Coach of the Decade for the 1980's. He also coached football, wrestling, and cross-country.
