Kalamazoo College announced today that Mike Ott will remain as the College's head baseball coach after previously announcing his plans to depart.
"Kalamazoo College is where I belong," Ott said. "Throughout my coaching career there was an itch to coach at the Division I level of collegiate baseball. I now realize that my strengths and values as a baseball coach better align with the Division III and Kalamazoo College experience," Ott said.
Ott, who has led the Hornets since June 2012, recently completed one of the most successful seasons in program history as Kalamazoo advanced to the NCAA III Regional Final and finished with a school-record 33 wins. Ott enters his 15th season at Kalamazoo College in 2027 with a career record of 316-233-1, making him the winningest coach in program history.
