Kalamazoo College women's tennis had four student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, announced on Tuesday, May 12. Eleni Bougioukou, Daryn Krause, Addison Lyons and Molly Stevison each earned recognition this season.
To earn the distinction of CSC Academic All-District honors, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and must be in the lineup for 75% of an institution's days of competition.
A senior from Agios Stefanos, Greece (Arsakeio Tositseio Ekalis), Bougioukou finished the season 10-9 in singles play, primarily at #3, and 8-11 in doubles, mostly at #2. In conference play, she went 5-3 at #3 singles and 4-3 at #2 doubles, earning Second Team All-MIAA honors. This is her third consecutive Academic All-District award.
Krause, a sophomore from Sylvan Lake, Mich. (Cranbrook Kingswood), went 12-7 in singles this season, playing mostly #5, and 12-13 in doubles including 9-5 at #3. In MIAA action, she finished 5-3 at #5 singles and 6-2 at #3 doubles.
A sophomore from Fort Gratiot, Mich. (Port Huron Northern), Lyons played #2 singles throughout the season for the Hornets, going 19-7, with a 16-7 doubles record, primarily at #1. She went 7-1 in MIAA play both at #2 singles and #1 doubles, earning First Team All-MIAA honors for the second consecutive season.
Stevison, a senior from Webster Groves, Mo. (Webster Groves), went 9-12 in singles including 9-6 at #4, and 1-4 in doubles this season. She went 6-2 at #4 singles in MIAA play as well, earning her second CSC Academic All-District honor after earning recognition in 2024.
This season, the Hornets went 13-7, and 6-2 in MIAA play, finishing tied for second in the conference.
